Coppa Agostoni 2015
The Coppa Agostoni is a men’s road cycling race that takes place in Brianza, Italy. It is part of the UCI Europe Tour calendar, class 1.1. It is part of the so-called Autumn Classics.
It is dedicated to Ugo Agostoni, Lissone runner who won the Milan-Sanremo 1914. Together with the Tre Valli Varesine and the Bernocchi Cup, it completes the “Trittico lombardo”.
The Trophy allegorically represents the “sprint” towards the finish line. The rims, which furrow the wood on which they rest, represent the wheels of the bicycle that, struggling to reach the finish line. The walnut wood base depicts the furniture wood district in Brianza.
