Toyssimi 100 bambini + 100 designer = 100 giocattoli straordinari!

Toyssimi 100 children + 100 designers = 100 amazing toys! It is a collaboration between Scuola Tam Tam and ilVespaio in which 100 children together with 100 designers create the toy of their dreams. The design workshops are held in the pediatric ward of a hospital, in a foster home or in a school and each designer is paired with a child.

Each designer involved filled a suitcase with the most disparate materials such as rope, wire, mastic, sticks, plastic caps, waste, production waste and met a child with whom she formed a creative couple.

Traditional roles disappeared during the workshops: who is the teacher? Who is the student? Who is the designer? And the baby? In the creative process, each designer has always left full freedom and autonomy to the child. In this way the imagination was released without limits and generated unpredictable and surprising results. The children have thus invented a phantasmagoric, amazing, amazing and above all unique toy.

The workshops are held in a pediatric ward of a hospital, in a family home, in a school, in any place where there are children who are bored and want to escape with their imagination.

Triennale Design Museum presents the Toyssimi exhibition in the spaces of TDMEducation – La Balena, which collects the results of the collaboration between 100 children and 100 designers involved in the creation of the toy of their dreams during the workshops held by the Tam Tam School in collaboration with ilVespaio held in pediatric wards of various hospitals in Milan and other cities, in family homes and schools.

The 100 toys are exhibited in the spaces of the Whale, designed by Blumerandfriends and for the first time used as an exhibition space, accompanied by photos and videos that tell the whole creative process.
