4 strings single body electric bass

4 Strings single body electric bass. This bass is a handmade product and is made of three different types of wood: maple, strong and stable, used for the neck and the central part of the body; Canaletto walnut, which has a rich sound, used for the sides of the body; ebony, extremely hard, for the keyboard.
We opted for a symmetrical shape, not common in the electric bass and guitar landscape, and a one-body neck construction technique with the rest of the instrument giving maximum definition and support to the notes.
This bass has a single humbucker pickup that gives three different types of sound via a three-way switch.
Keys and bridges have a satin finish and are made in Germany by Schaller.
We chose a glossy finish, with the exception of the keyboard, which has an oil-based finish.

Neck-through body = handle that crosses the body (called “through handle”)

Instruments of this type consist of a handle (usually laminated) which is not anchored to the body, but which reaches the end of the body itself. The two “wings” of the body are then glued to the handle. Thanks to this system, excellent support is obtained: in fact there is no real neck-body junction since the handle passes through the body. This avoids the problem of vibration damping that instead occurs in bolt-on basses: since this problem is avoided, it is therefore possible to maximize the vibration of the woods as a whole, which in turn determines greater support than the bolt-on solution.
